1. General
1.1. This page outlines the Terms & Conditions on which we, Conrad Interiors, sell any of the products listed or showcased on our website.
1.2. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you fully understand them before placing an order for any goods from an ecommerce platform. By confirming your order/ordering any of our products, you enter an agreement to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Claims and Liability
2.1. Conrad Interiors can only be held responsible for reasonable and foreseeable losses resulting from a breach in contract.
2.2. Any error in quantity or any defect which is, or might reasonably be expected to be apparent on inspection must be notified to Conrad Interiors by the customer within 24 hours of delivery.
2.3. Any shortage or defects apparent on delivery must be noted on the delivery note. In the unlikely event of damage being caused to your property by Conrad Interiors carrier's, Conrad Interiors will not accept responsibility for any damages or expenses.
2.4. No unauthorised repairs should be made to the goods.
2.5. Dimensions and specifications of the goods may vary slightly within normal acceptable commercial tolerances.
2.6. Conrad Interiors reserves the right to alter specifications without notice from time to time and reserves the right to discontinue any products or ranges without notice.
3. Internet/Website Purchases
3.1. Orders can be placed using the ecommerce platform: www.conradinteriors.co.uk.
3.2. You will receive confirmation shortly after placing your order. Conrad Interiors may contact you to clarify your requirements. The contract shall not be concluded until we have received your valid payment details, payment in full and we have accepted your order.
3.3. Conrad Interiors are entitled to refuse any order placed by you at our discretion.
3.4. Conrad Interiors will endeavour to match the colour and texture of the fabric of your goods to the samples chosen as accurately as possible, but variations in both the colour and texture may occur.
3.5. Conrad Interiors reserves the right to require advance payments before undertaking bespoke orders to cover any research, development and/or sample costs which may be necessary.
3.6. Every effort is made to ensure the complete accuracy of the Conrad Interiors website however some prices/details may change occasionally, and it is possible that errors may occur. Any errors will be rectified as swiftly as possible, but we cannot be responsible for any losses incurred.
3.7. To the maximum extent permissible by law, we exclude all warranties, expressed or implied as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on the website. We cannot accept any liability for any particular material on the website or as a result of any use or reliance placed upon information contained on the website.
3.8. Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of our website is done so at your own discretion and risk. You will be solely responsible for any loss or damage to your own computer systems that result from the download of such materials.
If you do not accept these Terms & Conditions, you will not be able to order any products from Conrad Interiors.
4. Payments
4.1. We require payment in full unless agreed upon through any form of communication with our sales team.
5. Pricing
5.1. All goods remain the property of Taylor Burton UK Ltd T/A Conrad Interiors until paid for in full.
5.2. Our final prices listed online include VAT at the prevailing rate and delivery to mainland UK. We can accept payment by Credit/Debit card, Cash or Bank Transfer, or via PayPal and Clearpay.
5.3. In the unlikely event that a product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Conrad Interiors reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for said product. This is applicable regardless of order confirmation/credit card charges. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Conrad Interiors shall issue payment to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
5.4.All prices quoted on the website or in the company’s literature are inclusive of value added tax and, where applicable, of any substitute taxes, levies, duties, imports, fees, or charges whatsoever and howsoever payable.

6. Deliveries
6.1.Conrad Interiors will arrange delivery of goods to the customer on a date to be notified, and, wherever possible, agreed with the customer. All dates quoted are approximate only although Conrad Interiors shall use its best endeavours to supply the goods within the time scale of 21 working days, or any agreed timescale agreed with the customer.
6.2.Deliveries will be made between 8am and 8pm on the allocated day. Customers will be notified 1 hour before their delivery is due. Due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, weather etc and the delivery exceeds this time frame, the customer will not be able to cancel delivery.
6.3. Conrad Interiors deliveries may be conducted by external couriers. As a result, we cannot provide the customer with an exact time of delivery on the day as this can vary based on the courier’s schedule.
6.4. Goods are delivered by Conrad Interiors at a pre-notified delivery charge to the delivery address stated on the order. Any subsequent change of address may incur an additional delivery charge.
6.5. From time to time our suppliers may run out of stock in your chosen fabric, in which case we will contact you immediately to arrange a new delivery date based on their supply estimates.
6.6. Delivery of your product(s) is generally carried out by our 2-man team, who will deliver your new products to your room of choice. Please note that if you live in an apartment block, there will be a £15 surcharge for every additional flight of stairs. Please also note that carrier personnel will not assemble your new products or dispose of your old products unless agreed at the time of purchase.
6.7. Once ordered, responsibility for goods will rest with the customer who must ensure that the goods will fit through relevant doors and passageways. For delivery, the customer must ensure that all obstructions are removed and that valuables are safeguarded against accidental damage. Conrad Interiors will not be held responsible for removing furniture or other items from any room into which the goods are delivered.
6.8.On the rare occasion (beyond our control) where there is a delay in delivery or failure in delivery or performance, Conrad Interiors does not take responsibility for any penalty, loss of earnings, injury, damage, or expense arising from any delay or failure in delivery or performance of the contract from any cause at all. We will always try our best to inform you of any delivery changes and get your goods to you as soon as possible.
6.9.The customer is liable to check the products (including all the packaging and all parts) carefully at the point of delivery. If the courier accidentally damaged goods in the course of delivery, then our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, refund or replacement of the goods or the value thereof. If a product is incorrect, refuse it, sign for it on the delivery sheet as ‘damaged’ or ‘wrong item sent’ and immediately send it back with the driver. Our customer service team must be informed within 24 hours of the delivery attempt. If the product is not refused or signed for as ‘damaged’/‘wrong item sent’ and we are not informed, Conrad Interiors do not take any responsibility for any following requests or claims.
6.10. All beds are delivered flatpack in separate parts. The responsibility of assembly belongs to the customer only - Conrad Interiors and their associated couriers are not responsible. Assembly instructions will be included with all orders.
6.11. Before assembly or contracting any third parties to assemble, please check all fittings/components parts are present as no liability can be taken for additional costs incurred due to missing/damaged items or parts.
6.12.Due to any reason, if you are unable to accept delivery on your agreed delivery date and you choose to have this delivered to a safe place without being present, a signed note must be left instructing the driver and written authorisation should be sent to info@conradinteriors.co.uk. Please note, where you choose to leave a delivery unattended, this is done at your risk. Any damages, missing items, stolen products will not be exchanged or refunded.
6.13. We understand your plans may change at short notice that may be beyond your control, however, where a delivery has been arranged and a 2-hour delivery window is allocated or delivery fails, to re-arrange the delivery a minimum re-delivery charge of £80 is applicable. We ask that you contact us the working day before delivery is scheduled - any failed deliveries may incur re-delivery charges.
7. Returns and Refunds
7.1. Returns of beds, furniture and mattresses must be notified to the company in writing via letter or email within 14 days of receipt of the goods.
7.2. Products can only be returned if they remain in their original packaging. Items in their original packaging must be unused for the return to be accepted.
7.3. Bespoke products are exempt from this returns policy and are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Additionally, for bespoke and handmade to specification items, customers will not have a right to cancel or return them unless they are faulty. Please carefully consider this when making your decision to place your order.
7.4. Mattresses cannot be returned once taken out of their original packaging for hygiene reasons.
7.5. Clearance and ex-display items are non-refundable unless damaged or not as described.
7.6. Before assembly, the customer is liable for checking for any visible defects and if found, they must be reported to Conrad Interiors. Conrad Interiors will not take any liability if you fail to report these visible defects. Any replacement parts may still be available; however, this would be at your cost if not reported before assembly. Any goods which the customer believes are damaged or defective must be retained together with the packaging for inspection by or on behalf of the company.
7.7. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the product and any associated packaging will fit through all stairs, passages and doors etc until it reaches the place of assembly and fits in the chosen room by checking the size guides. If the product doesn't fit, you will be responsible for the return, reupholstery and redelivery and any associated costs this will incur including the failed delivery charge if you refuse the delivery.
7.8. Customers returning products via their own courier must send return tracking details and ensure documents with the order number, your name and address, product name and signature are included.
7.9. In the event that part of a package or bundle deal is returned any refund will be calculated on the individual standard unit prices charged at the time of purchase.
7.10. Exchanged products will be valued at the price from time of purchase. The product that is being exchanged for, will be valued according to the price it is at the time of the exchange.
7.11. With all returns, once the collection has been arranged and we have received and verified the reason for the return, and the packaging if applicable, we will refund the value of the goods. Please allow 14 days for us to do this.
8. Storage
8.1. Conrad Interiors will store and insure goods free of charge for a maximum period of one month from the date that notification is given that they are ready for delivery, provided all balances due are paid in full upon such notification. Thereafter, storage and insurance will be charged at a monthly rate of £100 per item plus VAT until delivery occurs.
8.2. In the event of cancellation by the customer, sums already paid will be returned less any amounts which are due for storage or other appropriate charges (see also Cancellation).
8.3. Conrad Interiors reserves the right to cancel the order and to dispose of the goods at any time before payment is received in full for goods and services.
9. Cancellations
9.1. Should you change your mind about your purchase, we have a 24-hour cooling off period during which you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. After the cooling off period, you are entitled to cancel your order in writing via letter or email, before we have dispatched your item, however deposits are non-refundable.
9.2. For orders of bespoke items, cancellations are permitted only if production has not yet begun. If your item/s are already in the process of production, you will be unable to cancel your order.
9.3. Conrad Interiors reserves the right to cancel an order under the following circumstances:
- We do not have the stock to fulfil an order
- We are unable to deliver your order
- The customer payment was not authorised
- The products in the order were incorrectly priced/described on the website
- The customer has breached the terms and conditions and not complied with the contract
- Any other substantial reason requiring cancellation
In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and reimbursements will be made in full.
10. Quality of Goods and Product Specification
10.1. Conrad Interiors takes the responsibility for all goods supplied being fit for purpose and of the required quality in line with statutory legislation.
10.2. The stated measurements of all products made by Conrad Interiors will be as accurate as possible, however dimensions are subject to manufacturing tolerances up to and including +/- 3% of the total size.
10.3. The customer agrees to the terms, that goods displayed on screen, in particular the fabrics and colours may be subject to slight changes due to their natural properties. Images and fabric samples on the Conrad Interiors website have been digitally created to illustrate the fabric and colour options available. Colours and textures can appear different according to varying screen resolutions and perceived differently from person to person. Conrad Interiors is not liable for any colour variations in goods affected within a reasonable tolerance.
10.4.On rare occasions, Conrad Interiors may supply products with minor differences in specification due to circumstances out of our control. Any differences will result in the products being of an equal or improved standard and will not affect your rights under the law.
10.5. Conrad Interiors will endeavour to match the colour and texture of the fabric of your goods to the samples chosen as accurately as possible, but slight variations in both the colour and texture may occur.
11. Warranty
11.1. In lieu of all warranties, conditions, or liabilities imposed by law, Conrad Interiors’ sole liability in respect of any defect in or failure of the goods supplied or for any loss, injury, or damage attributable is limited to making good by replacement or repaired defects which under proper use appear therein and arise solely from defective design, workmanship, or faulty materials within a period of 12 months from the date of delivery.
11.2. Conrad Interiors will only accept liability provided it is notified in writing within 48 hours of any such defect or failure becoming apparent to the customer and the defective goods being retained by the customer for the inspection by the company.
11.3. In respect of all goods supplied, Conrad Interiors shall not be liable for any defect in or failure of goods, because of misuse by the customer or any third party, due lack of care, or lack of general maintenance.
11.4. Conrad Interiors will not be liable for any loss or damage which shall or may arise out of/in connection with any failure/defect of or in any part of the goods (including any delay in supplying or any failure to supply the goods in accordance with the contract or at all).
11.5. Conrad Interiors is not liable for any loss incurred by the customer in making payment via their chosen payment platform (even if foreseeable or in the company’s contemplation) including, but not limited to, loss of profit, special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage (whether sustained by the customer or any third party), any loss arising from any claim made against the customer or any third party), any loss arising from any claim made against the customer by any third party, and any personal injury to the customer or any other person or individual where such injuries are not caused by the company’s negligence.
11.6. These conditions do not purport to exclude or restrict any liability which is strictly prohibited by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
11.7. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please email info@conradinteriors.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve your issues. If you are unsatisfied with our response to a complaint, you may be able to refer the matter for Alternative Dispute Resolution for independent investigation.
12. Use of Conrad Interiors Website
12.1. Harassment in any manner or form on the site, including via email, chat is will not be tolerated and, in such cases, we reserve the right to cancel your order.
12.2. Impersonation of others, including a Conrad Interiors or other licensed employee, host, or representative, as well as other members or visitors on the site is prohibited.
12.3. You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the site any content which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable which may constitute or encourage a criminal offence, violate the rights of any party or which may otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. You may not upload commercial content on the site or use the site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organisation.
13. Force Majeure
14.1. The company shall be entitled, without liability on its part, and without prejudice to its other rights, to terminate the contract or any unfulfilled part there, or, at its option, to suspend or give partial performance under it, if performance by the company or its suppliers is prevented, hindered, or delayed whether directly or indirectly by any reason or any cause whatsoever beyond the company’s or its supplier’s reasonable control, whether or not such cause existed on the date when the contract was made.
14.2. Non-exhaustive illustrations include act or acts of God, war, strike, delay by suppliers, and shortage of materials, labour, or manufacturing facilities.
14. Social Media
14.1. By tagging Conrad Interiors on any of our social media platforms, you grant the right to use your username, real name, image, likeness, caption or other identifying information in connection with the use of your photo. Additionally, you warrant and represent that (i) you own all rights (including copyright) in the photo uploaded or, if the photo is subject to third party rights, you have all required licenses, rights, consents and/or permissions.
14.2. You will retain legal ownership of any rights you own (including copyright) in any photo you upload. However, by tagging Conrad Interiors you grant a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, assignable, sub-licensable license to use the photo in the manner set out above.
14.3. Conrad Interiors will choose and publish uploaded photos at its absolute discretion. For the avoidance of doubt, Conrad Interiors is under no obligation to use any of the photos uploaded.
14.4. We may use your photo on Conrad Interiors social media pages, including the shop Instagram page, product pages and in editorial and advertising content.
14.5. Images of products uploaded onto Conrad Interiors’ social media platforms are often used for illustration purposes. The appearance of products in reality, may differ.
16. Guarantees
16.1. For the purpose of this clause, the guarantor is Conrad Interiors.
16.2. The provisions of this clause apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty or wrongly described goods. These rights are not affected by the guarantee.
16.3. All our mattresses and upholstered goods carry a 1-year manufacturers guarantee against faulty workmanship and/or faulty materials in relation to framework, cover and upholstering. In addition to this your beds wooden framework only is covered for an additional four years. Trade customers are not eligible for extended warranty and these orders are covered by our 1-year manufacturers guarantee only.
16.4. Title of the guarantee is non-transferable and shall remain with the original buyer.
16.5. The manufacturer guarantee does not cover wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, loss or damage (including rusting and corrosion) due to unreasonable exposure to water or weather; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, explosion, lightning, sunlight, infestation by animals or boring insects, or theft, or accidental damage or loss caused by a third party.
16.6. Any damage to fabric/materials are not covered by the guarantee
17. Claims under Guarantee
17.1. In the event of a claim under guarantee occurring please contact Conrad Interiors in writing and we will advise you on how to proceed with your claim. All issues must be reported immediately on becoming apparent. Conrad Interiors will not be liable for any issues that worsen due to a delay in reporting.
17.2. In order to proceed with your claim, we will require proof of purchase, and you must be the original title holder of the goods.
17.3. We will endeavour to repair the defective goods free of charge. If a repair is not possible you will be offered a replacement of similar or greater value in a similar style to your product. Only if a suitable replacement is not available will you be offered a refund.
17.4. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered goods, over and above the value of the goods themselves. This does not affect your statutory rights.
17.5. Our guarantees are limited to goods sold and retained in the United Kingdom, used solely for private and domestic purposes.
18. Data Protection
18.1. Conrad Interiors takes privacy seriously. We process your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (‘the Act’).
19. Applicable Law
19.1. These Terms and Conditions of Trading are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
19.2. The website www.conradinteriors.co.uk is operated and owned by Taylor Burton UK Ltd. Our registered address and contact point for all written communications is: Providence Mills, Conrad Building, Syke Lane, Dewsbury, WF12 8HT.
20. Risk and Title
20.1. Risk of loss or damage and title to the goods shall pass to the customer on receipt by Conrad Interiors of cleared funds for the full order value (the deemed delivery date).
20.2. Ownership of the goods is retained by Conrad Interiors. We are entitled to dispose of the goods at any time before receipt of payment in full for the goods services supplied having notified the customer of such intended action in writing by recorded delivery letter to the address on the order, and after the correct notice period has passed.
